Membership Process
For qualified therapists wishing to use this site, please log in via the button below and create an account, purchase your membership, and complete your account details. This will include submitting proof of membership to a recognised counselling body, such as BACP, NCPS, or UKCP, and your OPT certificate of 50hrs training. Also include any additional qualification paperwork that you intend to feature in your profile.
Students are welcome, but cannot be featured on the directory listing until they have qualified from a BACP-accredited course (2024 onwards), or have qualified and have an OPT certificate for 50hrs training.
There is space for a 100-word bio and one image in your directory listing as an introduction to you. In our experience, this can be a stumbling block to registering. If you have a website with details about yourself/the way you practice, we can create a bio for you free of charge; just email us a link at getmestartedACPO@protonmail.com, and we will send you an editorial to proofread and approve.
Accessible for prospective clients, your ACPO directory listing has a link to your profile. Here, you can include additional details about yourself. If you are unsure what to put, please read our guide to writing your profile

ACPO aims to offer you a creative directory listing, where you can stand out from other listings by adding a text or background colour of your choosing.
ACPO will issue you a membership logo with a number that you can display on your website to show that you have membership in an Association committed to online ethical excellence.
